Clenbuterol is used nonmedically as a stimulant-like fat-loss drug, not for a fuller muscle look. Shaking and a racing heart can be more obvious than any change in body fat. A recent small human trial did not find fat loss and found worse aerobic fitness. Heart injury and dangerous potassium changes are major concerns.
A short human trial reported lean-mass/protein effects but reduced cardiorespiratory fitness and muscle oxidative capacity. Type-I-to-II fiber switching is mainly animal evidence, not a settled human claim.
Tachycardia, arrhythmia, tremor, anxiety, electrolyte disturbance, myocardial injury and reduced exercise capacity.
Heart rate/rhythm; blood pressure; potassium and glucose when clinically indicated; chest pain or dyspnea require urgent assessment.
Used medically in some countries and in veterinary contexts; not FDA-approved for human use in the United States or for fat loss.
