Oncology / FGFR inhibitor
Balversa
Erdafitinib, or Balversa, treats certain bladder cancers, not muscle growth or fat loss. It targets a cancer-growth signal called FGFR, and the tumor's test results determine whether it fits. Mouth sores and nail or skin problems can be noticeable during treatment. Eye injury and high phosphate are serious risks.
Balversa for eligible adults with susceptible FGFR3-altered advanced urothelial cancer. Oncology adjusts treatment using phosphate levels and tolerability; no adjustment protocol is reproduced here.
Phase-2 and phase-3 oncology trials support tumor-response/progression benefits in the indicated molecular subgroup.
Serious eye toxicity, hyperphosphatemia, mouth/skin/nail toxicity, liver effects and fetal harm; requires oncology monitoring.
Cancer-specific testing and oncology monitoring, including ophthalmic exams and serum phosphate. Not a performance-drug monitoring template.
FDA-approved for a specific advanced/metastatic urothelial-cancer population with susceptible FGFR3 alterations—not for scoliosis, height or performance use.
