Anabolic-androgenic steroid
Deca-Durabolin
Deca is used for muscle and size gains, often with a fuller look and some water weight. Some users say their joints feel better, but less pain does not mean an injury has healed. Its long decanoate ester means it takes time to leave the body. Main downsides are bloating, sexual problems, worse cholesterol and prolonged suppression of natural testosterone.
Placebo-controlled trial in 29 people receiving dialysis. Its lean-mass findings and long treatment period cannot be treated as a healthy-bodybuilder or joint-healing recommendation.
Randomized medical studies include dialysis-associated wasting and anemia. They do not validate nonmedical stacking or long-term performance use.
Profound gonadal suppression, infertility/sexual effects, gynecomastia, erythrocytosis, lipid and blood-pressure changes and class cardiovascular risk.
CBC/hematocrit; blood pressure; HDL/LDL/triglycerides; liver markers; prolactin only when clinically indicated; reproductive hormones/fertility.
Has historical/prescription medical uses in some jurisdictions; bodybuilding use is not an approved indication.
Other aliases: Deca-Durabolin · nandrolone decanoate
