Anabolic-androgenic steroid
methandienone
Dianabol is an oral steroid used for bigger muscles, more strength and a fuller look. Some of the increase in size and scale weight is water. Unlike the low-water finishing drugs, estrogen-related bloating can be a noticeable part of its effect. Main downsides are breast changes, higher blood pressure, worse cholesterol and liver injury.
Older human studies document anabolic/clinical effects and unfavorable lipid/liver changes. Evidence is dated and does not establish safe nonmedical use.
Liver injury, fluid retention, hypertension, gynecomastia, HDL/LDL deterioration and gonadal suppression.
AST/ALT/bilirubin; HDL/LDL/triglycerides; blood pressure; edema; reproductive hormones.
Not currently approved in the United States; not approved for bodybuilding.
